Campogalliano has a long history in the production of weighing equipment, and this museum has over 2,300 exhibits, including 500 scales produced over a period of about seven centuries. The most important items include, in order of date, a XIII Century market scale, a XVII Century coin scale, two XVIII Century steelyards from the Far East, huge XIX Century platform balances and agricultural steelyards from the beginning of this century. The museum is a nationally recognised institution and has computerised educational areas.
