Activities intended for young people and for schools are a constant high priority for the Teatro Comunale, Teatro Storchi and Teatro San Geminiano. The Teatro Giovani programme includes plays, operas, and ballets (taken from the general programme for the year) as well as concerts, poetry readings, lectures, exhibitions and guided visits to the theatres. In co-operation with the City Councillors with responsibilities in this area, the three theatres also organise a Teatro Ragazzi for young children, which sets out to combine imagination with education in order to nurture an interest in the theatre amongst kindergarten and primary school pupils, through plots and language suitable for their age-group. The Teatro Comunale, Teatro Storchi, Teatro Sacro Cuore and Teatro Cittadella are the venues normally used for performances for young people.
